The Dollar General Bowl would be more realistic if there was trash blowing in the wind

Dec 23, 2016, 8:30 PM

Out on the field like it is at every dollar general I've ever seen.

The DG Bowl logo should be a yellow plastic bag caught up in a crepe myrtle .

The DG routinely saves me a 40 minute round trip to town for essentials. Laugh all you want but they are a huge convenience for people in small towns in SC.

I also shop for certain items at the DG on James Island , wasn't pretending to be elitist .
Just making a witicism on something I have observed many times at many different retail stores , not the least of which included a couple of DG stores .

What's more common is to try to check out and find no register is open. No sign of an employee and seventeen people in line including three that want to exchange a propane tank. Then the cashier appears coming though the front door returning from his smoke break lol.

It's the same here. I don't understand why they only have one cashier per shift. And I believe they have to stock the store as well. DG clearly has some management problems

After what Dollar General did to help those in need from the NC fires and the toys they sent for kids that lost all of their Christmas presents, I am a customer for life. As to the trash blowing around in the parking lot is more of a customer problem IMO then it is related to DG.

Plus they sponsored the BG. I did not see Walmart in the news helping people in the NC fire zones or have the ever sponsored a BG.

It is a customer problem but all other franchises

Clean up their parking lots. Used brown diapers, oil jugs and every other thing unimaginable just sits and collects. You can complain to the management it doesn't do any good. You can complain to the head office, it doesn't do any good either. The head quarters are located in Tennessee, that's why no other franchise did anything. Plus, it is a huge tax write off. They're not taking money out there pocket.
