The D is equally bad if not worse. Just a full scale program collapse.

I remember how successful Riley was on his last job. Dabo won't allow himself to trust anyone but himself. Who can or will make him let his coordinators do their jobs??
I would have loved to see what Riley could have done with his own assistants.

Good luck finding an OC if the OC can't hire his own staff this time.

Hypothetical: Would bringing Chad Morris back solve our offense issues?

At least from a play calling standpoint.

"Sources close to the program describe a staff where the chemistry is "off," and nowhere is that more apparent than on offense. Riley, the high-profile outside hire, was never allowed to bring in his own position coaches, leaving him on an island to implement his system with a staff entirely composed of Swinney loyalists."
Maybe this is the real issue.

Isn’t this what most of us have been saying all along? Dabo has GOT to let people do what they do. My dad told me when I first went into a management position , “the fastest way for you to rise up in the ranks is to hire people around you who are good enough to take your job.” I always tried to do that, and it served me - and the companies - well. Dabo should try it.

We’re tripping over the many friends and family network on the gravy train. Unfortunately, it won’t matter what coaches we bring in ..Dabo will stick to his own outdated, ineffective plan …

You watch…Riley will end up somewhere else, be allowed to hire his own staff, and knock it outta the park. But…no matter how you slice it, this is on Dabo.

Y’all have to remember the conversation coming in. Riley had an offense he wanted to run, but Dabo quickly pointed out that it would be the “Clemson offense”.
Makes me wonder what have happened if Riley was able to integrate his offense and bring his staff in.
Again, this failure falls on Dabo

That's why it seems that Dabo may be in over his own head . This may be a total tear down rebuild job.

Dabo in over his head?! Good god people, are memories that short? Some fans never lived through mediocre at best years. I believe we went 18 years without a 10-win season before Dabo got here. If you can't recognize how special he is and what he's done, then you clearly have zero sense for how far we've come...and that "someone is over his head" was able to accomplish what he has, being compared to Saban, etc. Crazy...

Something has seemed off with Riley since he arrived. From meeting Dabo at the airport and his introductory press conference he has never seemed like he wanted to be here.

All good and seemingly valid points, but one thing he mentioned...

Is Riley now being able to bring in his own team around him. I would say this is also very true with Tom Allen right now.
Broken record, I know, but the obvious thing is to get away from all the nepotism, and let these multi million dollar coaches do their thing! I get they need to conform to culture in some fashion, but the best culture is a winning culture. The fun really is in the winning. Nobody gripes much then

This brings up an interesting question. How did Saban do it? He had quite the turn style at Bama and was always bringing in big-name coordinators, were each of them able to bring their entire staff with them?
I don't know the answer, but it would be interesting.
