For this I'm using Rivals.com rankings because IMO they do the best job. Mouth Carolina is currently #15 with the likes of Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, Penn State, and many others behind Decoot U. As these programs gain commitments Scar will fall to their usual #20-25 ranking.
Not only that look at the offer sheets for the following 3-star commits:
Vershon Lee OT has offers from East Carolina, Kent State, Louisville, BC (a BC offer is credible for OL)
Trai Jones OG has offers from Elon, Coastal, Furman, Georgia State....how does this translate to 3-star?
Jazston Turnetine OT is coming from a community college. We've seen how this turns out for them before.
Tyshawn Wannamaker OG has only one offer from Georgia State. 3-stars????
Makius Scott DT has offers from Cincy, Memphis, Wake, and ECU. This is their lone DL commit to date.
Mohamed Kaba OLB has offers from Duke, ECU, Mizzou. He claims a Clemson offer which is BS.
Da'Qon Steward WR has offers from Charlotte, Akron, Coastal, and Georgia Tech.
Factor in that they also have a 2-star corner on their commit list it's clear that many programs will surpass them in the rankings as their classes take shape. And as we all know it's not Decooting season yet.

Kaba is a legit high 4* recruit who had a Clemson offer.
Yes their class is inflated right now because of the number of commits and there are very few high-end prospects, doesn’t mean all of them are that way.
Regardless, they’re not recruiting at a high enough level right now and getting enough difference makers to close the gap with us or UGA, Florida, or even Tennessee in their own division

They have a nice class but they are treading water in their division; and Clemson has widened the already considerable gap in roster talent & depth-

He could get more push from teams that are more blue blooded or whatever. Doesn't mean he leaves.
They are plucking some talent (pun intended) and I am not about to push that off as potential failure. It is working for them.
On the flip side, we see the same level of talent leaving after being here for a while. Talent is talent. A kid will want to play where he is wanted. This kid is wanted at U5ofC.
We've seen better talent end up there, and stay. While beating Clemson.
Pushover status may be wavering in cootville, but I, for one, welcome it. Makes a rivalry a rivalry.

He was a take at one time, but the window closed without him committing. Funny how the recruits that don’t choose someone’s school have questionable character and all of that school’s commits are upstanding members of society with the strongest moral fiber.
It is possible that a good, talented kid just doesn’t pick your school and that’s okay.
