UNC?

Only differences here was a better OL performance and Watson more involved in the running game.

It didn't work against UNC because we ran the ball on first and second down for no yards and then threw it for 20-30 on third. Then did it all over again. Against State, we either threw first or ran DW on that little qb draw which looks like a pass play or screen play for a second. That gets the defense on their heels from the start.

A lot of it had to do with what the defense was giving us

NC State was giving us the long ball all day long. UNC didn't. We passed all over them (UNC) on intermediate routes, but that allowed then to stack the box.

When the long routes are open, you will be able to run easier. It looks like Chad did try and exploit that. I kept wondering why we didn't throw more 6-10 yard passes against NC State, but they weren't giving those to us.

As long as we score more points than the other team... Yes, a balanced attack is best to keep the defense off base, however, if we have to sling the rock 50 times to win, it's not like we dont have the QB and WR corp to accommodate that! Just win!

Did no one read any of the after game reports from UNC?

Vic K. stacked the box in the UNC game. Their #1 priority was to stop the run and make the freshman beat them. Anyone with any football IQ knows why UNC shut the run down.
