2 visits to White house with 2 Great Presidents
Jun 13, 2017, 8:24 AM

So proud of our Tigers and that President Trump recognized them. It reminds me of the last trip when President Ronald Raegan greeted the Tigers for the last championship. Two Amazing Teams, Two Amazing Presidents. GO TIGERS

Trump is like the old country doctor . He has no bedside manner, he's very blunt, but he knows how to cure us. After eight years of a slick talking do nothing person I don't mind Trump being blunt . I wish more people would remember why we put him in the White House to begin with . Stop watching the mainstream media and look and read about what he actually does .

what he does?
Jun 13, 2017, 10:00 AM
|
|
he lies over and over and over
he reacts to the smallest imagined slight like a spoiled 3-year-old
he went bankrupt in the casino business
he has a long track record of lies and unpaid creditors, businesses and employees
he has no real understanding of how our system of government works
he has no respect for the judicial branch
what is does would be utterly comedic if not for the office he holds
maybe some day conservatives will remember that they should be Americans before they are Republicans and see the disaster that Trump's admin is and will be

Jobs increasing at a high rate, economy rolling, he hasn't done anything.
Stop listening to the media. They are scared to death of the good he is and will do for this country.

YEP, HE HAS NO REASON TO HAVE THIN SKIN HUH. EVERY DAY HE IS TRASHED BY THE VERY SAME MEDIA THAT USED TO LOVE HIM. PEOPLE ARE DOING THINGS IN PUBLIC LIKE CHOPPING OFF HIS HEAD AND HAVE HIM ASSASSINATED IN CENTRAL PARK TO NAME A COUPLE. WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES HE HAVE TO BE THIN SKINNED ABOUT. FACT IS IT IS YOU LOSERS THAT CANT STAND THE FACT THAT SOCIALISM WAS DEFEATED THAT HAVE THE VERY THIN SKIN. THOUGHT YOU SNOWFLAKES USED TO BE ABOUT FREE SPEECH.

I get it. you hate Trump and feel it is your duty to broadcast your hate and conspiracy's like a good Rachel Madow clone. When I started at Clemson, I was liberal and allowed media and entertainers shape my dislike for Ronald Raegan. But like most, I chose to look further then the surface and understood that hard choices are not popular.
I did not post this to get into a deep discussion on politics but there is a big difference in political discourse in America and around the world. The PC, or politically correct movement grew out of the 90's to create this 3rd wave feminism and Progressives that have successfully merged Main Stream Media with the DNC. Liberalism is dead as the party that used to stand for free speech now shuns it and labels anyone that is right of Maxine Waters a NAZI or White Supremacist.
Keep spouting the hate all you want. Fortunately, I am still allowed to disagree. The alternative choice is disgraceful. When Feminist align themselves with a religion and belief system that allows for Slavery in several countries, I want no part of it. When young ladies are mutilated in Detroit to prevent enjoyment and honor killings are real, I want no part of it.
Western Civilization is under attack from a system that never went through a reformation or enlightenment. Blunt hard leaders are needed to turn our country away from this tide as it is a REAL threat to peaceful, liberal western countries.
I look forward to the day we do not need Trump. But until the corruption is routed out of our Media and Government. He is necessary.

he is the greatest con man in recorded history
he lied, cheated, and stole his way into being one of the most powerful men in the world...
of course he had some help... doesn't hurt to inherit millions of dollars
and then there's the support he received (how much, we may never know) from our ideological opposites in Moscow
but still, he had to sell it, and he did...to a point... of course a majority of the voters didn't buy in, but enough did in some key states

Blowing his chance to be great by undermining his credibility on petty battles, creating drama when there is no need for it and generally acting wholly unpresidential.
I sure hope he turns it around, but he is currently far from great.

Respectfully to you all , I voted for Trump to bring a sledgehammer to a corrupt government . There has never been a president so attacked by all of the media but all the Democrats and a good part of the Republicans yet he's getting more done than any of them . When CNN and other mainstream media outlets directly call from violence against the president and his supporters I hope like hell that he never stops fighting now . My only fear is that with all the rhetoric they might be successful

But some of the comments he's made - and his twitter feed - have been, at times, cringe worthy, to say the least. That's the point I am/was trying to make, and the 'complaint' I have thus far.

and you talk about corruption? how much money is he and his family making?
how many ethics waivers in his admin? how many 'swamp creatures' has he employed?
it's gonna hurt when all of your delusions are shattered... good luck!

Trump a great President???
Jun 13, 2017, 1:47 PM
|
|
So far I am very unimpressed and I doubt he will be anything to write home about. Reagan was a slightly above average President with a "greatness myth" created by the Republicans to counter the Democrat "greatness myth" of John F. Kennedy(another slightly above average made into a legend). I know I lived through both of them. Eisenhower, FDR, and Truman were the last Great Presidents. Bush II was the worst President of my lifetime although I suspect that Trump may equal him. Obama(again average) will be better treated by history than he deserves I suspect for being between the two.
