Larkins and Nantucket is good, but can be $$$$.
Of course, I considered Outback to be way too expensive the other night, too.

Probably would need to be more in the $25-$40 range
Jun 25, 2015, 10:36 AM

for Larkins. You could probably scoot into Nantucket for $20-$30, but I haven't been there in probably 6 months.

My parents went to Rick Erwins on the Eastside
Jun 25, 2015, 10:47 AM

a couple of weeks ago and said they'd never go back. Supposedly, the steak wasn't even that good, prices were outrageous, but the biggest factor was that the waiters and waitresses wouldn't leave them alone. Said they had a different person for water, alcohol, food, and one who just seemed to want to talk to them. Kind of like they were overdoing it with trying to be sophisticated.

Drink prices were typical. Didn't eat. They changed nothing with the decor from the pizza place, and I don't think they change the kitchen much, because they still serve pizza. I'll try it this summer. Not expecting much.
Have you tried Rick's Deli downtown? It's good, but a sandwich plate lunch = $20? GTFO

And add another $8-$10 per side item you want with it.
Haven't tried Rick's Deli, probably won't know that I hear it's $20 for a sandwich plate.

Not in the Summer. They have tried everything and it's just hot down there. I went the other night and was sweating.
Wait for Fall/Winter and then for sure try the place.

I took Mumbette there last week, and our meal was delicious. She couldn't believe how good the food was.
The beer was fantastic, I had something-Kraak (14.6%) that was awesome.

can't get that AC issue resolved. They're trying.
IMO a lot of it has to do with the kitchen being so close and the low ceilings.
But back in the day it was a Brothel down there so I guess it's always been hot lol.

Specifically over Sushi Murasaki, which is one of my favorite spots DT, and my def favorite for sushi...
Also, I had dinner at Nantucket once....it wasn't bad by any means, but I saw no reason to go back. In their defense, it WAS a SLOOOOOOOW Sunday night, and as an ex-waiter, I know it's hard for the servers and the kitchen to get in a good groove when it was that slow....
