The antidote for Alabama style defense is

Tempo. Specifically hurry up no huddle offenses with speed at the skill positions. Also, having a mobile qb that requires perusing when protection breakdown. With no rest between plays and no chance to substitute, the fatigued players struggle to keep up and are prone to mental errors. This is why saban attempted to get the rules changed after the bowl loss to Oklahoma. Know any teams that fit this template?

there's no way to get him recuperated during the game. If Bama can't substitute liberally they won't make it to halftime.

That's not their worst fear. Their nightmare is a team that they can't stop in three downs. We need short plays for 6-12 yards at rapid fire. Hurry them back to the LOS and blast them again and again then score.

better than us. It's a beautiful thing to watch and the kind of offense that will put up points on Bama and run the clock. They will have to go to the passing game to keep up and that's our edge in this one.

No, a good Christian man like Nick Satan wanted to change the rules because he was concerned about the injuries induced by HUNH offenses, the main injury being the butt hurt it causes him.
