The ACC, Big Ten, and Pac-12 announced 'The Alliance' on Tuesday, a strategic grouping with 41 institutions collaborating on the future evolution of college athletics. This made me excited, until I remembered we can't add a single one of these teams for at least eleven years (& in the meantime we play 20 SEC teams instead).
I WANT to love the Alliance, but I'm struggling to get excited about it, especially for Clemson.

When the B1G signs their new TV contract soon & it's vastly better than the one we're locked into, it'll be a better deal BECAUSE of the Alliance but won't benefit our league one bit.
I'm struggling to love the whole Alliance thing. I want to, & I'll try to stay optimistic, but our schedule has no room until at least 2032 regardless.

Then Clemson needs to be open to joining the SEC.
I personally don’t understand why the ACC doesn’t align with the SEC. The ACC has more in common with the SEC than it does with the B1G or PAC. Let’s divide it up… north vs south.
