The ACC, even with ND, is no longer an option

The ACC cannot compete with the emerging super conferences. Period. The ACC taking ND doesn't even move the needle compared to the powerhouses the other 2 conferences will have. Only way the ACC can survive would be in the way of defections of schools like Penn ST, Auburn, etc and THATS NOT HAPPENING.

It's an interesting question whether the ACC would remain viable if ND joined. One thing is for certain, if ND joins the BIG, the ACC is toast.

And that's why Clemson should join the B1G with ND.

The fact is, at this point, we have little to no option. Either join the Big with ND as a package or become scraps to the other teams. You people are in denial if you think the ACC is gonna survive this an be more than the WAC!

Random thoughts: I’m torn I hate both of them so I guess it doesn’t really matter to me one way or another.
Maybe the ACC should have been poaching some more northern basketball schools and throw in a Villanova. What the heck just poach the Ivy League.
Adding BC and Syracuse, besides for the money, was terrible as far as football goes.
If Miami, VT and Florida St. were to get back to their winning ways of the 90’s would we be having these concerns regarding the ACC?
Why be reactive maybe we should have tried luring more schools to the ACC.

Miami, VT and my goodness FSU not being who they use to be "is the biggest thing"! I think if they still were as good as they use to be; we would be having a different discussion.
Now, FSU won the National Championship 9 years ago. Clemson has played for it 4 times in that span. That's two ACC squads in far more recent years than any Big 10 team. But, because of the talking heads - who are pro-Big 10 things like: "only Ohio State has played for or won a National Title 1 time" since 2010 gets ignored and dismissed! Why aren't we calling for the end of the Big 10? "Hype and money"! It's not their performance on the field for sure.
But, I don't like the cold. Going to Kinnic Stadium in November - no thanks! If Clemson was forced in essence to join another league: "make it the SEC"! Although - "it's just as very top of the conference heavy" as the ACC is. Just with more teams!

UNC would not be able to handle any other conference seeing they would feel entitled to run the conference.
They better take their basketball officials as well or they will be in trouble.

Good point but ...

UNC will take the $100M per year for football and slowly and smugly take over the league's administration ...
