Really all NASA needs is more money. They are the best.

But it's not fair to have civil servants compete against for-profit companies.

So thankful. Not sure, but Elon Musk provided the rocket that made the switch. Glad these people are home - hope all goes well.

You gotta believe experiencing gravity again is going to really be an adjustment after so long a time in space.

If they had been abandoned, they'd have died in space months ago.***

Good to see them doing well. But they weren't abandoned. When the Starliner had problems, it returned remotely and crewless. NASA then made the decision in September to send Crew 9 up with just two instead of four astronauts (Hague and Gorbunov). Wilmore and Williams then were positioned to be the other two in the four person team of Crew 9 with a return date of February. Then the February flight was scrubbed because of problems with the SpaceX Dragon. The Dragon then launched with Crew 10 to replace Crew 9.
I don't understand how it became political. But I understand how thats how it is now a days. I'm more apolitical. Or non political really.
NASA normally sends the crews for 6 month stays. And Williams, I doubt is too unhappy about it. She also has been there for long periods. She will move into 2nd for most time spent in space. She had two previous stays. And now sits at 608 days in space.
