Countless times I have been to 5 Guys and watched the cook take hamburger off the grill and load it on the bun and it sat there over 5 minutes (getting cold) while they were waiting for the fries to come out the fryer. It's like they place more importance on the fries than the burger. Drives me nuts.

They leave the grease in them, use a lot of fat, then a bunch of cheese and mayo. Ick....

Their fries are good though, which brings up likely their greatest expense, and why such crappy burgers are so expensive. The fries you get are fried in peanut oil, which is $$$.
