This is how you build a program.

Since the first day Dabo took over he had a plan, a vision and a culture he wanted to implement. Most of all he has stuck with it. Even in the face of criticism! Notice how he builds our program with top high school talent and just let's them go through maturation process. He doesn't go the quick fix transfer or JUCO route like the Auburn's, Florida's, Ole Miss, Louisville's, and especially the Coot's.. that's why not much stability in those programs and coaching turnover... Thank God for Dabo and a solid program at Clemson.

early on. However, I was happy to be wrong. Even though the 2015-16 teams were great, a team in the near future could be better across the board.

That's why it's funny seeing our rivals predicting such a drop...

"They lost Williams, Leggett, Scott, Gallman, huge step back"
Do they not realize Dabo has recruited so well, and we still have Renfrow, Cain, Powell, Overton, Thompson, Higgins, Feaster, Choice Etc.? With a stellar O-Line to play behind.

Tee Higgins is the second coming of Mike Williams. Coot's are not going to like that. 3 more years of getting carried into the end zone!

Great post. This is what the haters do not understand. If Dabo were somewhere else doing the same thing I would be a fan of what he has done and how he is doing it even if I didn't like his team. Thank God he is with us. The culture that has been built here at Clemson is something to be proud of. And in spite of all the naysayers and those who think we will slip into the abyss Dabo has built a program not just a team. They said the same the same about the defense the last two years only to be disappointed. They said the same things after Tahj, Sammy and Company left only to be disappointed by the next group of elite athletes that were waiting or being recruited behind them. This year will be no different. GO TIGERS!

juco transfers can be a great thing for everyone involved. Not necessarily just flunkies or guys in trouble. Sometimes guys commit somewhere, realize it's a bad fit upon arrival there, and go to juco so they can transfer out the next year. Then they arrive st the school they belonged at all along two years more experienced, bigger, stronger, better than an 19yo straight out of high school. I think juco gets a bad wrap because there are a lot of kids in trouble that go there after being kicked off a team. It sways the case though.

I remember when Dabo first got the job and a guy in my gym would talk to me everyday about hating the hire. I told him give the guy a chance and lets see what happens. He wanted a big name guy, and at the time Muschamp, Kelly, Peterson and Gundy were the big names. I often wonder how he feels about Dabo now? I've met Dabo many times and coached against his kids at our Rec. dept. I always liked the hire.
