I'm probably late to the party on these things, but I got me a little battery-op one-handed 8" chainsaw.
Wow, this thing is awesome. And fun. For all the limbs that fall around my property during storms, perfect. Absolutely perfect. I've been out in the woods today searching for more things to saw up for the burn barrel.

Already got moneys worth out of it in 2 days. Angry at myself for not getting one before now. I've always had a pole saw, which is similar, but on a long pole. This is MUCH more convenient for the already-fallen stuff.

You can get Amazon Chinese cheapos for $40 or so, better name ones for around $100.

Got the Makita one for abioit half this price on sale and love it. Honestly not that much easier to use than my existing larger 18v Makita saw but it’s better for pruning.

The bar length of a chainsaw doesn’t have to be longer than the diameter of a tree to cut it down.

I think my main use will be the fallen 2"-4" limbs too big to snap over my knee. Can quickly slice them up into small pieces for burning in the fire pit.

For the log sizes I'll still bring out the regular chainsaw but that's more of a "tree down" scenario. This is more thunderstorm/wind cleanup usage.

Have the small chainsaw and polesaw

Home Depot had it on sale about a year ago. Both tools and two batteries for $199 or something like that. Got my money’s worth in the first weekend.

And now I have the hammer drill and the 6” circular saw that all take the same battery. That’s the trick… don’t buy some other flavor of battery, keep them all the same.

When we drink, we get drunk.

When we fall asleep, we commit no sin.
When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!
