Didn’t the Dallas Cowboys become a contenders again based almost entirely on the volume of that one trade?

Could the Jags do something similar this year?

Sadly, there is no Hershel Walker available this year to inspire such off-the-wall trade enthusiasm.

If there was a generational talent available in the draft this year could the Jags parlay that into a massive injection of lower round draft choices from another team who coveted the great player?

IMO, they should be looking for a way to trade this years first round pick and a couple players for at least 2 experienced/talented O Linemen, get a couple late draft picks in the bargain, sign a free agent WR (aka Mike Williams) and use their remaining picks to load up the defense.

They have a huge amt of cap room to sign multiple FAs and remain in great shape cap wise-

It helped but so did having a free spending owner in a league w/o a salary cap, w/o free agency; this allowed Jones to shop unrestrained and stack the roster, just like the 49ers and earlier the Steelers.
