We had eggs (a dozen), bacon (1lb), and pancakes, about 10 large pancakes. Oh, and we had maple syrup for the pancakes. Totally gone after everyone finished. Like.... completely gone.
Family of 5. 3 teenage boys. This stuff gets spensive, just feeding this herd.
Thank gawd wife (big family) had the foresight to get a large Traeger, Weber grill, and a Blackstone.

The small family get togethers are usually 12-14 people.

Wife's sister has a household of 5 too. Then MIL, FIL, and my mom, that makes 13. Then if you have a big family function, you get aunts, uncles, BIL's parents, cousins, you can easily top 50-60 people.
Our house is easily equipped for 12-14 people eating. But I have yet to host a big family function. Thank goodness. We have a dining room table that seats 8, or up to 12, then 4 bartop seats, then a table that seats 6, so that's a total of 22. Then add the back porch, that's 6 more, then card tables could do another 4.
Most large functions are at in-laws lakehouse where they have 4 picnic tables on a huge porch, then seating inside and a table for 6 as well. So they can seat 40+. Wife's uncle has a massive cooker that can cook a whole hog with room left for 4 boston butts.
