Crystal Balling...

Big XII: Could be a big mess at the end...brutal stretch for Baylor, TCU, OSU, & Oklahoma; they all have to play each other. I think OSU may have the easiest path with TCU, Baylor, & Oklahoma all at home....hope they all cannibalize each other. Prediction: OSU undefeated but hoping for a clusterfluck with (4) 1 loss teams.
B1G: Iowa has the easiest path...until they get to the championship. Ohio St. will lose to either MSU or Michigan. I think the buckeyes will beat MSU and then lose the next week to Michigan. Could have a 3 way tie in the east with Michigan, MSU, & Ohio St. Not sure how the tie-breaker works but I think any of the three beat Iowa. Prediction: 1 loss Ohio St. as conference champion.
PAC XII: Stanford finishes with 1 loss handing ND their 2nd loss at the end and knocking the golden domers out of consideration. Utah finishes with 1 loss. Prediction: Utah conference champion.
SEC:: Florida wins the east but loses to FSU in their last regular season game. LSU beats Bama and then loses to Ol Miss. Prediction: Ol Miss conference champion.
ACC:: You already know how this plays out....undefeated CU over Pitt. #1 ranking and #1 playoff spot.
Playoffs: #1 CU vs #4 Utah, #2 OSU vs #3 Ohio St NCG: #1 CU over #3 Ohio St.
ESecPN @ DEFCON 2…spends entire bowl season blasting the CFP committee and demanding an immediate 8 team playoff system for 2016.

Utah over an SEC team. I can live with that but can others? Bama is just to loved and LSU is still very good.

I don't see the committee taking a non-conference champ

If Bama & Ole Miss win out, I will not be shocked if the

committee selects a 1 loss Bama for the playoff, in spite of them not even winning their division, especially if their remaining wins are impressive. If it is between them and a 1 loss PAC12 champ Stanford, I think they will have a hard time getting in. I think Stanford is the best current 1 loss team.
If The Big 10 champ has a loss, they could be left out, because their loss comes much later in the season. Same for a 1 loss Big 12 champ.

If Ole Miss ends-up winning the $EC Championship.....

the $EC could very well find itself left-out of the college football playoff.
Wouldn't that be great !?!?!?!

No two-loss team will get in the playoffs although no one will be the least bit surprised when E$PiN campaigns for it if the $EC gets left-out of the playoffs or, at the very least, starts demanding the playoff be immediately expanded to eight teams.

Lets say LSU only loss is to Bama but the Tide loses the title game. They have a 2 loss champ but LSU finishes 11-1 There is a good chance LSU goes to the playoff.

I don't think LSU beat Bama because Bama will key off of Fournette. Forcing LSU to throw the ball. which favors Bama. Now I still think Ole Miss wins the SEC West and possibly the SEC. Now This weekends game with UGA/Florida winner taking the SEC East. UGA is putting their entire season on this game. So an upset could be in the making. Leaving Florida out of the SEC championship all together. I do agree with the B1G and Big XII. Stanford wins the PAC XII and they may beat Notre Dame but I'm hoping not. As long as ND stays with 1 loss they will have a hard time getting into the playoffs but it justifies our win over them and I think if we played them again it would be as close. As long as we don't play in a Hurricane. Go Tigers.

One thing for sure. This has been a great season for all of us to follow college football and the weekly rankings. It's great to be a part of it A few bad plays could ruin our dreams but we all feel confidant in Dabo and company to keep us in the mix. I, for one, am happy that I have been on the bandwagon for a looooong time and Ilan to hang on for the entire ride. GO T I G E R S.

honestly think the issue with the B1G is the scenario
Oct 27, 2015, 5:08 PM
|

where Iowa goes undefeated all the way through and wins the B1GCG,
but Ohio State only loses at Michigan.
I question whether the Committee could leave out the 1-loss Defending Champs and put in a 1-loss Baylor, LSU, or Stanford instead.
Two from the B1G limits the number of slots for all the other conferences.
Likely? Maybe not, but who knows.
Problematic for everyone not named Ohio State? Absolutely.
Even an undefeated conference champ from a lowly basketball conference.

Ok here goes my prediction:
ACC- Clemson Runs the table and plays a one loss team in Pitt (they pull off the upset against ND). Clemson wins the ACC.
B1G- OSU loses to MSU and MSU plays an Undefeated Iowa team. MSU wins a very close championship game.
Big XII- Baylor beats TCU and OKST but loses to Oklahoma. Tie breaker gives Baylor the Championship.
PAC12- Stanford wins the division and beats Utah in the PAC12 championship game, but loses to ND.
SEC- LSU goes undefeated and plays a one loss Florida team. Florida pulls of the upset against LSU and wins the SEC.
Clemson is the Unanimous number 1 seed, MSU the number 2 seed. Now if I were picking the next two I would say that Florida and Baylor get in leaving out Stanford and the PAC12 completely.
Clemson plays Baylor in the Orange Bowl MSU plays Florida in the Cotton Bowl
National Championship is Clemson against Florida.

I'm thinking UNC over Pitt

possibly even if they lose tomorrow night. Pitt has been squeaking by bad teams, can they keep it up? Prolly not.
ACC CG would be a fun packed house if 12-0 Clemson were playing 11-1 UNC.
