Sure we’ve had a great run the last 8 or 9 years in football, but we were largely irrelevant nationally for decades before. Meanwhile those other schools built up strong brands over those decades. Everyone has a Dookie they hate in basketball, UNC basketball is always nationally relevant, Miami had those great years in football with star players, FSU had Deion and Bobby Bowden. You throw our logo up against any of those, and more people in America know the others than ours. Most people don’t even know where Clemson is.
