The way he said that…it sounded like he expected it to be permanent back then, too…?
Could he have always known that Cade was next up? Maybe he was protecting the future for Cade more than us fans were ever aware.

Wow! I had to rewind it to make sure I heard what I thought I heard. Dabo said what most peoplethought...he just wasn't ready.

Agreed. The halftime comment about Cade throwing the pick and then to bring up Notre Dame again in the first sentence with Cade standing beside him.
That was the first time I’ve ever been truly disgusted by Dabo. Those comments were defensive and throwing shade on Cade, yet he has coddled DJ for 2 years. It’s disappointing.

It did, but they didn't give him a shot vs SC...
I know we focused on the run in the 1st half, but second half offense and passing by DJ was abysmal.

may have been ready back in the ND game, but didn’t want to leave him in after the INT, what’s the real excuse for not putting him in during the SC game?
Bygones be bygones, I guess; and this was the perfect real start to Cade’s era of Clemson football.

Anything for Dabo to blame someone else.
He can dress it up as Cade’s fault all he wants, but putting Cade in against ND in a horrible situation with a poor play call isn’t Cade’s fault, Dabo.

That’s what he was saying. If Cade would have come in and led a touchdown drive he would have had the rock the rest of the game. Unfortunately the weather was terrible. Not the ideal conditions.

Now that it’s obvious it sounds like a good thing to say and stupid people will believe it. The truth is last week would have been an excellent time to quit embarrassing DJ. We may have forgiven him for a crappy season if he didn’t lose to our sub par rival and cost us the CFP. F him, and anyone who defends him at this point
