mediocre teams, and you can occasionally beat a top team with it, but not consistently, because the really good teams will usually beat a press. I remember a stat from Purnell's years at Clemson. "Over 40% of the time, when a team beat Clemson's press, they scored on a breakaway layup or dunk!"

I tried to tell people on here op always lost to basketball schools in the first round. Like michigan. West virgina. And nova. Just like we lost to one friday in kansas.

Purnell gave up a 18 point lead to lose against Nova.
He reached his ceiling and failed miserably at DePaul.
Brownell 3-1 in the tournament vs the fat zero Purnell had here.
Complain about who we played all you want, that was due to us having a great regular season, you know, how you’re rewarded.
