Somehow it was $19.99 when I bought it online for in-store pickup, and marked $24.99 on the shelf, so all the better.
I think you turned me on to the French Press, and it was a good run, but you've gotta try this. Difference in flavor is seriously noticeable.

If you shop at Petco, see if you can find the product you want on their website while you're in the store. It's usually a few dollars less online and they'll honor it at the register.

I drive a couple blocks to Petsmart, food's always on the shelf, they accept my price match and my money, I leave with the food. It's pretty simple as vendor/customer relationships go.

drive to the store and get said food off the shelf, take it up to the register, pull out your phone, show price difference, then negotiate for the online price. Then drive back home with the pet food.
Is this a fair summary?
My keen eye spots an easier method here. But I'll let you chime in and tell me why I'm wrong.

a) understand that I'm not a forward thinker. Usually I remember to get more dogfood when there are 3 kibbles and a bunch of crumbs left in the bottom of the bin.
b) driving to the store is 5 minutes. We aren't talking about the Lewis and Clark expedition.
c) Not really "negotiating". I hold my phone up, cashier grunts and types in price...takes 2 seconds. Not really buying a car. Also, chewy's price is rarely cheaper than Petsmart online so usually not the benchmark.
d) My simpler logistics give my method a much smaller carbon footprint for that bag of food to make it into my home, so I get to enjoy Al Gore levels of environmental smugness.

they don't blink at throwing hundreds of $$ for top shelf beer and whiskey, slabs of meat to grill, dining at the country's finest restaurants, boats, real estate, and many other items of luxury. Won't even walk into a Wal-Mart under any circumstance.
But when it comes to TV providers and certain other seemingly random items, extreme couponing is the standard.

I stopped drinking beer and only drink mid-level bourbon usually, rarely dine out, and Wal-Mart for car supplies all the time.
Meat, boats, and real estate, totally guilty, but I don't do those things because I ignore saving a buck whenever possible.

defending you if anything. As you see from other post, I buy my dog food in person at the store just like you. Just a general observation of the dichotomy of Lunge spending habits. I know, you go to WallyWorld for motor oil. So do I. It's others who won't lower themselves to darken their doors.
I just find it funny that all the folks blow real money on really superficial things, yet give others a hard time for spending a couple bucks more than you have to for a staple like dog food. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
But no, you were NOT the subject of my comment, not at all.

non planner.
He doesn't notice we need dog food until we are down to the last few kibbles, coffee until the last scoop, gas until 5 miles til empty, toilet paper until the last square.
In fact, in a prime example of how the male brain is missing a few french fries from a happy meal.. once when I was 9 months pregnant we realized we had no toilet paper in the house late at night. Husband goes down to the ole spinx on Laurens and buys a single roll of single ply toilet paper. My favorite is when the gas light goes on and he will stop and put $10 in wherever he is instead of filling up the tank. Why?
Other than that burning rage I feel, we are a perfectly happily married couple.

Toilet paper - probably really expensive at a gas station - best to just buy a roll or 2 and then Amazon when you get back to the house.
So I have cut your burning rage in half . . . . and since pregnant & all - we know you put out.

This superior female brain, btw..... Is this the same brain that keeps driving on a flat tire until they get to their destination or loads the dishwasher like they're throwing toys in a toybox?

maximize space. I run a tight ship. I'm one of 3 girls and I was trained by my father not to use too much toilet paper to clog the toilets, to check my tire pressure (vehicles I drive now do that for me), check the oil, keep up on car maintenance. Husband can kill someone with his pinky finger and sniper trained but was raised by a single mom who is an airhead. Drives my father in law crazy too.
I even do grocery pick up from Wal-Mart.

when I need a bag. I gotta go there to get horse feed and chicken feed anyways. It's all in one place. They have as good a prices as anybody, esp for the big bags.
Plus I try and minimize people coming onto on my property, so deliveries for that kind of stuff isn't really a consideration for me.

Eww yucky, not for me. I prefer a lovely cup of hibiscus rose tea, with a dainty little sugar cube and some soy milk. Of course on weekends I really treat myself, I lean towards the Chinese tradition! I get out my grandmother’s ceramic tea pot and tea cups, wear my robe, do my nails, turn on some Michael Buble, and really just indulge.
Anyway, what kind of yardwork/sportsball/beer things are you fellow boys up to this weekend?

It's like you've never read an APM post.
Do tell on the BMW though. Also, if you're doing a performance center delivery, it's even better than you think, you'll be flogging THEIR cars.

One thing that impresses me about them is that when you join the subscription thing, you lock in your price. So even though it's $15 for one time or $13.50 now for a subscription (still a great deal, as that includes shipping), mine's $12 because I've been buying from them for a while and that's how much it was when I started.
