Thanks for providing me, a fan, an awesome way to spend a Saturday. Most of the time I find myself complaining about how you should have done better. For that, I am sorry. I am filled with passion for my Tigers and have gotten even more pride filled over the last 10 years. You have won two national championships, multiple ACC championships and some really amazing games that came down to one last play. I apologize for forgetting that you are still 18 to 23 years old and have so much going on besides football. I mean navigating life at that age was hard for me. Yet most of you do it well and you give your best of blood, sweat and tears for an old washed up never has been. Now I will not promise that i will not be upset next time we lose. Honestly, it has become unexpected. I want to tell you that you make me proud every time I see you giving of yourselves to others. It must be hard to have so many of us complaining when you fail to reach our expectations. I know you want to win more than we do. You put in the work all year long. I hope I can remember that you are still someones kid. I would be upset if people criticized mine like I do to you. Anyways, keep trying, keep pushing but still have fun. After all it is just a game.

I admit I was pretty bummed out Saturday night. I can blame coaches for poor decisions or poor recruiting. I can be disappointed. Three years ago I found out my 23 year old son had cancer. That mattered. I just needed to refocus and know that it is just a game. A game I love to watch!! Just needed to step off the ledge and refocus and realize these players and coaches are giving their best.
