There is a lot to like about the ranking and the numbers. I am particularly pleased with the fielding average. To win games, you need to not help the other team. I am also proud about Grice. He looked so good initially, but had been faltering. Now he seems to have regained his step, both as a hitter and pitcher. Babe Grice. But the whole team really has seemed to have turned the corner. If we have a good May, we could end up hosting.

its obvious from watching the games that the guys aren't going up to the plate trying to put one over the fence. Just put the ball in play and good things will happen. when I was working second shift I couldn't watch many games, but I would keep up with scores. Several times I saw a crooked number get put up and thought, "surely we had to hit some bombs there." nope, it was walk, single, single, walk, double, single. I would much rather see us string hits together and score multiple runs rather than a random solo shot. GO TIGERS!!!!

It's so great to return to the post season conversation! If we end up in Conway for the regional, I can go to games. But they have some of the most obnoxious fans I've ever been around.
