It's not benching because he played poorly, it's keeping CV for next year, especially if they don't get someone good in the portal. Long-term thinking.

We know what we have next year. they see him in practice every day. But whether you agree with it or not, Cade has put his heart and soul into this team for 4 years and he deserves every right to see it to the end.

Cade played one of his best games today. His injury kept him in pocket longer, passes were on target. Had 3 drops right in players hands. The defense cost us this game especially secondary.

Did he play perfectly? No. He missed receivers and made dumb decisions, but he did not give up wide open blown coverage TDs or a kickoff return for a TD.

Yes, I agree, CK played well, but this CU football is about to totally collapse as a program, and we must think about the future. If CV leaves in the portal and we don't get a good replacement, we're totally up screwed.
