to my 9 YO daughter who wears her Watkins Nike Jersey with so much pride. I will now focus on her understanding that people are not perfect and disappoint, but I hope she learns that more later than sooner...though we all learn that eventually.

It sounds like Sammy made a big mistake here. He's young. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but he's young and things like this happen. I hope Sammy learns from this and can stay a Tiger. We need him on the field obviously, but we need him to make better decisions even more so. He's the face of our program.

aderall and vyvanse are not your hardened drug lord's choice of drugs...come on people, get off your high horses...he made a very stupid mistke but give him the benefit of the doubt until the WHOLE story comes out...if he is guilty, he won't get much more than a slap on the wrist

I'm not sending Sammy to hail for this offense but if you don't think Dabo will fall on his ### like a ton of bricks you just don't know Dabo.

My 12 year old son got a SW jeresy during the spring game as part of his birthday present.
Gonna' be kinda sad to tell him why Sammy isn't playing against Auburn.

I wanna go back and live my life as sheltered as some kids are these days. If (at 12) you don't know about older kids making stupid decisions and getting busted for it then it must be nice. Heck, use it as a teaching point. Even Sammy Watkins can get busted for being a dumb***.

Right. There are great players who have never been caught or never did drugs.
There are also great players who have.
Your post makes it sound like he shot someone and then burned down Death Valley.
Personally, I've never done any drugs, but at my age that makes me a statistical minority. I did drink underage, however, as I would assure you 99% of Clemson (and all other) athletes have done.
The sky isn't falling.
