Tavares Barnes /Shaq Lawson

Nov 13, 2014, 10:32 AM

Is it me, or have these 2 played every bit as good as Vic Beasley this year? and they have both played better than Corey Crawford in my opinion... too bad Tavares is a SR already...doesn't seem like he has been around that long. I know he got hurt real bad at one point, but it sure seems like his Clemson career has been short...Same goes for LB Tony Steward....He really should have redshirted his freshman or Sophomore year. When his Clemson career is over at the end of this season, he will have only played meaningful football for 1 of his 4 years, that 1 being his SR year...

Who do we have in the bullpen at DE after these guys(3 of those 4 DE's are SRs)? The only other one that got any hype that I remember is the kid from NY, Ebenezer Ogundeko... 1st of all, has anyone heard how this kid looks so far(Ogundeko)? meaning will be ready to play big snaps next year? and who else do we have that we will see playing at DE next year beyond Lawson and Ogundeko?

Lawson is great at defeating cut blocks and making plays in space. I think we will be more effective to play him opposite of crawford on first and second down in this one.

Crawford isn't here to pass rush. He has done a tremendous job at what he does. Barnes and Lawson have been very good, you are correct. Martin Aiken was highly recruited. He has mostly just played special teams so far, but he will get a chance. Kevin Dodd may get the first shot as he sees the most field time right now. Dane Rodgers also has the tools to be a very good player. The guy to watch is Richard Yeargin. He was very highly recruited. He is more like Vic's size, but should put on a little weight. I think in time, it will be him and Oguendeko battling until Lawson leaves and they can both play. I hope Aiken and Rodgers really put up a fight though. There are also some really good freshmen coming in. Obviously, we would like to redshirt them if possible.

Expect to see Lawson. Ebo, Dood and maybe Yeargin

From what I hear Ebo and Yeargin are going to be good. Their just young and in the case of Ebo needed a lot of coaching since he came from NY where good fundamentals was hard to find.

Don't count out Aiken. He has the tools. You never know when the light might come on. Rogers reminds me a lot of Rennie Moore. I think at some point, he is going to make an impact for us.
