Haunting Clemson moments

In honor of Halloween Day, here are my top 3 haunting moments as a Clemson fan
1) 1990 Tate George shot vs us in the Sweet 16. I honestly feel like had we won we would’ve made the Final Four 2) Nick Saban’s onside kick vs us in the 2015 national championship game 3) 2013 FSU beatdown in Death Valley
Those 3 moments tick me off even today.

For sure still haunted by that one. To Coach Bowden’s credit, he fooled everyone on the field, me and everyone else in the stadium, and everyone watching on television or listening to JP’s call on the radio.

1. 1990 UConn shot. Hopefully, we get sweet revenge in two weeks.
2. Puntrooskie.
3. 2000 loss to GaTech in final seconds. Spoiled an undefeated season to that point.

Kevin Butler's wind aided 60 yard FG in Athens in '84

with about 11 seconds left and thinking there was still a second on the clock when Terrence Roulhac ran out of bounds at about the 38 on the ensuing kickoff. But '86 and '87 were sweet double revenge.

there was time on the clock and a 15 yard penalty for a late hit out of bounds that would have been tacked on.

I expected Bowden would have Reggie pulled from radio broadcast yesterdays for no reason too.

circuit with a Coot high school buddy of mine. We came so close to upsetting them that day, he was wiped out in his seat. I thought I was going to have to carry him out of there.

I agree with the Ellington fumble and also that whole last drive by Lamar Jackson and Louisville in I believe 2016 with Marcus Edmond having to make one of the best open field tackles I ever seen to end the game.

have certainly made your list.
I would certainly include Tate Effing George. No frigging way he got that shot off in time. Without a cooperative timekeeper, it wouldn't have even needed a review to see he didn't get it off in time. We definitely got hosed with a huge water cannon on that deal.
My third pick would be the year that we missed a last second field goal against the Coots that SHOULD have sent the game to overtime. I believe that was in 2006. Final score 31-28 Foul Feathered Fatheads.
I don't count any of the Bama moments. Saban is near universally regarded now as the greatest college coach of all time, so it is no shame when he beats you.

You are correct but that onside kick call was one if not the best in game coaching decisions of coach Saban's career, right up there with benching Hurts for Tua in the National Championship game.....even that troll Finebaum says Bama was toast if not for that stolen possession.

out of me when I think of the puntrooskie. Leroy stinkin Butler. We were running the ball down their throat that game. Almost got an INT in that series. Better team lost that day.

Tate George did go to prison later in life for being a con artist.
Also, I did have the pleasure of firing Rod Sellers (from the same team) from a job several years ago.,

We were finally playing a #1 team and I was so pumped up. I knew this was going to be a great game and a slugfest for the ages.
Fast-forward a few hours. Hanging my head low as I was looking at the wrong end of a 0-57 waxing if my poor Tigers. Up to that point I never seen Clemson get blown out that bad nor ever seen Clemson with a goose egg.

One stinking second! 2) Tech in 2004. How do you roll a snap half way to the punter? 3) one no one has mentioned. At FSU is 2014 on the one yard line getting ready to take the lead and we sail the snap over DW's head. No points and an L
