I can see why he didn't sign an FAA.

Hope we can hold on to him. I think his OV to Clemson will seal the deal.

If Maryland gets an official I'll be concerned. Otherwise we should be ok other than the Auburn bagmen

To me it looks like he an Shavar are doing this together. I'm really not worried about the officials. Maryland is the team to worry about.

Lord knows I'd take all of my officials if I were a recruit. Free fun weekends with great food and a good time all around.

would not have been happy at Clemson anyway.
I know he has connections to UMD, but the two schools couldn't be more different.

He left his mentor to go to IMG. I'm sure he'll leave his mentor to go to a real college program too. I douby Shaq wants to get killed by OSU and then play 11 other games against slow B1G teams every year for 3 years. In the cold. Without a major bowl game. With very few scouts watching.

Making a life changing decision takes a lot of work and due diligence. He will take a good look at all his options and try and make the right decision for him. Clemson is one great place to play football, get an education and be a part of something special. Mr. Smith will make the right decision and then commit forever.

I'd be concerned if Clemson weren't on his list. Not worried here.

I am not concerned with taking officials but I am concerned with the message it is sending. Dabo has been clear if you are visiting other schools you are not committed. Sure he makes exceptions if you are clear on your intentions and have a reason for taking visits (promoting friends, visiting with high school, etc.), but I don't think we have ever had a commit take 5 official visiting after committing to us. Sure he is a 5* but I expect Dabo to put a stop to most of these or seriously consider opening up the commitment if he does take visits this openly.
I have never been one to push Dabo's no visit rule because it has never been a hard and fast rule, but I agree with the intentions of why he has dropped recruits in the past and feel that this is quickly approaching a similar situation. Hopefully he will go the way of most and change his mind about the visits.

Dabo is fine with visits as long as they're cleared with the staff. This has been well established; at this point, the single biggest issue is idiotic members of our fanbase spewing nonsense about "not being committed" and "not a Clemson man" - THIS is the kind of stuff that gives kids pause and contributes to them reopening their recruitment. Recently, we've had plenty of commits take visits. Notice, however, that Juwan Briscoe is the only one who's had a scholarship pulled: he wasn't truthful with the coaching staff.

I'm not a fan of commits visiting but I also trust the coaches to handle recruiting situations like this. They have shown they know what to do or not do when this happens. They will work it out with the kid

I wonder if Mr Smith has a hand in bringing Mr Manuel on an official to Clemson? Now there's a tantalizing thought. I wouldn't doubt it at all. If these guys are serious about defense and the NFL....Brent Venables is their guy.

Can't blame him. Maryland is the team to worry about and he's not taking one to there. He's solid to Venables

He should take his 5th to Hawaii

Or maybe UCSD, check out somewhere exotic.
Plus those schools would really roll out the red carpet since he would be the biggest recruit they've had visit in a long long time.

he's cleared these visits with the coaching staff, they know he's committed to Clemson, and you have no inside information on Mr. Smith whatsoever.
