I think that kind of fire would go a long way with Brownell

I like him and think he is a good coach, but I think he could win a few more over if he showed some fire and defended our guys sometimes when were obviously being hosed. It helps form a connection, you're not just standing up for the players, you are standing up for the University and us fans. Just think Barnes and how much fans loved him standing up to Deab Smith

Might could get us to the top 4 in the ACC and to the sweet 16.

My post was nothing about on court success

It was more about his connection with the fan base. Again, I like the guy, U just thunk he'd have greater support if he showed more fire

My point is I think he would have even more support if he sometimes showed some emotion and fire

General broad brush painting of Brownell....
He get's fired up when he has to, but does it his way and away from the crowd. His beatdown of Roy Williams a few years ago after a game was proof that he doesn't mince words when he has something on his mind,....he just doesn't go off the hinges for everyone to see.

I don’t think some of you actually watch our games.

If you do, you don’t watch him or how he conducts himself. He is much more animated than many give him credit for. No, he isn’t going to throw a chair or pick up needless technical fouls, but he is always working the refs. Watch closely and you’ll see.

Seriously?
But regardless, this is dumb. He’s getting teams to the Sweet 16, he doesn’t need to do anything else.
