Tajh Boyd on a milk carton?

I just don't understand this situation in Pittsburgh at all. If Landry Jones were playing lights-out, it would make sense...but it looks to me like anyone with a pulse could challenge him. So why isn't Tajh getting some reps? OK, he didn't play in a pro-style offense at Clemson...but how could he possibly be any worse than Jones has been?

Tajh hasn't been cut yet, either. Perhaps the idea is to give Landry sufficient rope to hang himself. He's not doing a half-arsed job at it, either!

Coach Tomlin will take the best 53, period.

I agree with two others. It's likely a combo of A) giving LJ a real shot to play, and B) Tajh may not be game ready.

Boyd hasn't got any reps in practice either the last 2 wks

based on what I've read. I don't understand Tomlin's plan with him at all. I do wonder if he's had trouble absorbing the playbook or if he's hurt. Those could be other reasons why he has not played. I do know he needs to stop having problems with center exchanges (which I think happened again today and has been one of his problems throughout camp). He hasn't been cut yet, so I can only assume that he may finally get an opportunity in Preseason game 3. Unfortunately, the Steelers are basically setting up Boyd to have only one chance to prove himself. If he falls flat on his face with that one opportunity then he's probably done. That a lot of pressure on a guy. Knowing Boyd's history in highly stressed and pressurized situations, it hard to bet on him to be successful in that one opportunity.

If your hearing that he isn't getting reps in practice, then its not looking good for tajh. In NFL training camps, when the reps in practice are few and far between or stopped all together, your most likely getting cut. They want to give the reps to the peoe that are gonna help the football team.
Tajh was a great college qb. He thrived in chad morris's system. But he can't run a NFL system. That has shown the past two years in the training camps he's been in, plus he did pretty bad at the senior bowl week. I don't know why he can't transition to the NFL game, but it doesn't look like its gonna happen. I hope he can figure it out. He was fun to watch on Saturdays in a Clemson uniform.

4th and 16; tied for most wins by a Clemson QB; led Clemson

to it's first Orange Bowl win in 33 years; led Clemson to it's first 10 win season in 21 years; led Clemson to it's first ACC title in 20 years; holds nearly every career Clemson passing record; led Clemson to it's first consecutive 10 win seasons in 21 years; led Clemson to it's first victory over UGA since 1990; only Clemson QB to have wins as a starter over Auburn, LSU, FSU, OSU, and UGA. One more thing he accomplished this all the while having a weak oline and a weak defense (defense was decent his senior year). So yeah Tajh has handled pressure situations good, considering he carried the team on his back while we had a bad oline and one of the worst defenses in Clemson history.
Get your facts straight next time, and stop hating on all time Clemson great.
