Looking for ideas for tailgating in Winston Salem. Stub Hub has very little to offer in designated tailgate spots.

There is plenty of pay parking right beside the stadium. You shouldn't have any trouble finding somewhere to park if you get there at a decent time. All you need to do is walk across the street into the stadium from the lots. Tiger fans might outnumber the Wake Forest fans.

I have always just gone to Putter's. There will be plenty of Clemson fans there before and after the game. Walking distance to the stadium

Unless it's changed, I saw the tailgating scene first hand at Wake Forest when my daughter was a student there 25 years ago.
The tailgate quality is extremely good and very social - so good that the tailgaters don't leave the party and go into the stadium until halftime.
Upon entering the stadium at the half they look at the scoreboard, see that Wake is losing badly, then go back to the tailgate.....

Park at Lawrence Joel Coliseum. Lots of room and easy walk to stadium. IMO, Wake

's BB&T Field (if it's still called that) is an great away game. There isn't a bad seat in the house (not by some genius design, there's simply not enough seats to qualify), usually a large portion of the stands behind our bench is Orange, so friendly confides, the "Deacon Dog" - a big beef frank w/ BBQ and Slaw - is unbelievable, and they sell booze.

next door to Lawrence Joel Coliseum, so if you're planning to park there you may want to arrive earlier than you originally planned.

Note that the Lawerence Joel Coliseum (Basketball) is usually the option that is most popular and there is a lot of available parking there. But also note that the Fair is going on at the same time. So all football and fair parking will be shared in the area and the Fair is right next to "The Joel". The good news is that the fair parking/traffic picks up at night, and that the Wake crowd are late starters for parking/tailgating. So you will mainly be competing for parking with other Clemson folk until about 2-2 1/2 hours before kickoff. I like to park at Pine Hall brick which is on the other side of fair, especially in years when our game falls in the same window as the fair. But the walk is a little bit further from there... not much, but I don't mind walking.

Also, the Central NC Fair (I don't know the official name) was scheduled to be going on next weekend. I have not checked since the storm. But the fairgrounds are next to stadium and normally share the parking areas. So, you may wish to check it out and prepare accordingly.
I've been to a number of Clemson games at Wake and never had a problem finding a nice place to park / tailgate. It's one of my favorite Away venues. I was there for the Clemson game in 2018 when the fair was also there, but I'm pretty sure it was a mid-afternoon game start. We scrapped our tailgate plans and hung out at the fair before and after the game. You know...corn dogs, cheesesteak sandwiches, fried Twinkies.. hahaha

I understand the local fair will be underway. If true parking will not be as plentiful and traffic could be a problem. Plan accordingly.

Next week will be the last weekend for the Carolina Classic Fair, so attendance may be enhanced even during the day. Was almost a definite for the game until I read that, but may still attend if other parking options are found. Doubt I can get there before 10am. Anyone familiar with lots on Reynolds Ave?

Used to always be called the Dixie Classic Fair. Get there early and park at the Joel . You’ll be among friends. Wear your orange and be prepared for many people to tell you, “Welcome to Winston”.

I've been twice, the first time was the thumping we gave them with TL and my avatar came from that game. Met Dantzler's brother and Renfrow's aunt in the lot I parked at up the road, only hung around for a beer or two pregame. Great experience with my then 6yo at that game.
Second time was 2022. Clemson #5 at Wake #21. Their students acted like chicken fans. They cursed at me and my then 10yo over and over walking into the stadium and outside afterwards. One flipped him off in the face as we walked out and it took every ounce of restraint in my body not to kill the guy. Instead I used it as a learning experience for him and I on forgiving those that trespass against us. But had he made contact with him I don't think he'd of had a finger left that wasn't broken. Just as I was losing faith in humanity, another student fist bumped my son and said good game little man...
With their record I don't suspect anyone else will have that type of experience this year!
