Illegally and commit crimes? And that we shouldn't just hand them citizenship? I don't understand? I don't like him but why do we allow people to just come here and break laws and it's somehow ok? It's somehow ok that complete cities can ignore federal laws and let them stay? Explain that one to me?

No we don't know what you mean. Why is he racist?
Jul 18, 2015, 6:16 PM

That term along with the term ignorant is used way to often. I would never vote for him but how is what he said not right? How is it ok for sanctuary cities. How is it ok for those cities to ignore those federal laws but clerk of courts can't ignore a Supreme Court decision which is actually not a law in the first place. I'm just trying to understand how it's racist to not want people sneaking over the boarded this way, some cities to say the heck with the laws, the president tell them not to deport them when they are arrested? I still have not heard a logical reason from someone that all of this should be ok. So basically you are calling me a racist too, believing all of this. I call that slander since being called a racist now is akin to committing a crime. Maybe false accusations of racism should be a crime now as well.

I never have liked McCain's political positions. I'm a die hard limited govt, libertarian. And I appreciated Trump's telling it like it is on immigration. However, he hit the 3rd rail with me on this one. McCain is absolutely a war hero. To say otherwise is un -American!
Any soldier who serves our country in harms way is a hero to me. Trump appears to have avoided serving via favoritism. That plus his asinine statement disqualifies him immediately from consideration for President.

The bad part is the Republican Party will probably denounce him and he will then run as an Independent. This means he will split the conservatives and another extreme liberal will again be put in the White House to finish destroying what is left of the USA.

The part that I see wrong with what the republican party is doing is not changing . They seem bull-headed and stagnant on issues that aren't really up for debate anymore , at least in the mind of the majority of Americans. I think the Repubs need to go younger , reflect more with the demographics that they have been at odds with for so long , and try to look less stiff and stodgy , overall . The GOP is losing ground with each and every passing year , so change would do them good . Just my opinion .

I don't agree with him on every detail, but love the fact that he actually has the guts to speak his mind. The Republican Party has lost its way, as evidenced by politicians like John McCain, Lindsey Graham, etc. If the Republicans want to lose another election, they will trot out yet another weak candidate like a Bush.
We could do much, much worse than Trump.

That is the subject, not his politics

It doesn't matter , Donald Trump is not electable . He has an outwardly narcissistic personality , he says inflammatory things without recognizing how that , in America is absolute political suicide ...and most pertinent to his " un-electability " is the fact that he has absolutely zero political experience . None . So yeah , that and the Lhasa Apso poorly stapled to his scalp . Guy is going nowhere .

Jul 19, 2015, 2:53 AM

Really? You do realize almost all people in positions of power, whether it be politics, or business, do in fact have a narcissistic personality, it's that exact trait that allows them to rise to the top.
Some are just better at hiding it. Those are the ones that are really scary

You may be correct Doug, Dubya may not be able to spell Dubya, at least not correctly. I'm guessing you're an Obama supporter? I don't/didn't really care for either one of them, as they are pretty well one in the same, in their policies, save a few social issues. Both for big government etc.
But Dubya was definitely entertaining, Obama not so much.
Make no mistake though, they both have narcissistic/type A personalities. As I previously stated, very rarely does someone rise to the top of any profession without some of these qualities.
I do however agree with you on the state of the Republican party.

He is usually over the top, but we need some of his moxie in the debates. Should never denigrate our vets but McCain is pretty useless these days - after all, he let his handlers talk him into bringing Sarah Palin on in 2008 - the only female candidate that makes Honey Boo-Boo's mom look like a lady!! I disagree with some of diatribes but he is spot-on with immigration!

Trump isn't just a jerk, he's a complete narcissist...which is something more dangerous.
People who are listening to the words coming out of his mouth are...kinda missing the manner in which he's delivering them.
Trump obviously watches a lot of television, and follows a lot of Twitter. Not surprising considering his biggest aspiration a few years back seemed to be a TV star, so others could witness his personal greatness. Having failed at that and gotten kicked off their air, he seems to have set his sights on...hey, the presidency? Talk about doubling down. But it's not hard to think The Donald would have a pretty good idea of how to appeal to a lot of people on push-button issues. The problem is, is he sincere, or is he just playing to the crowd with the same sort of smug self-entitled cynicism he seems to apply to every other aspect of his life?
Fortunately, America tends to vote the man, and he's unlikeable enough on a gut level he won't get near the Oval Office. Which is good. Trump getting elected would scare the @#$% outta me.

Get ready for that lunatic Sanders or even worse, Hillary, to move into the White House in 2016. The GOP is doing it to themselves by not driving a 2000 mile wedge between themselves and Trump. The media is, as we speak, making The Donald the poster boy for the Republican Party.
