Interesting situation in Aiken tonight

As it appears right now, our mayor‘s niece was at the Walmart on Whiskey Road an hour and a half ago. Was somehow involved in a shooting. Shot in the abdomen and is in surgery at Augusta University right now. Suspect was apprehended, told the cops that “God told me to do it”.
Details other than that are sketchy at this point.

Seems like the suspect walked into Walmart, randomly shot a teenage girl, ran off, and then called the police and turned himself in.
The cool thing is that it appears that multiple men in the store ran towards the shot. Maybe that positively affected the outcome.
