Says we better get elite speed at reciever next year because it isn't in this class or in TJ Green I guess.

According to everything I've seen, Scott doesn't have elite level top speed (expected to run around a 4.6 40). That's got nothing to do with his quickness, which is elite level, and has been said as much on STS.
Not sure what your problem with STS is on this matter.

I think we'll be fine with the elite speed. I mean, there are only so many Sammy Watkins and CJ Spillers, but I like Scott, Hopper, and Green for now. Not to mention Ogelsby, Fuller, and Davidson.
Aside from Percy Harvin and Sammy Watkins, how many "elite speed" receivers have there been in the last 7 years or so....they don't grow on trees.
And there is some truth to the "more quick than fast". It's not to say Scotts not fast, just extremely shifty. You can use him in the return game, in the backfield, at wideout, and even on defense, but that's down the road.

Two of the greatest receivers of all time in the NFL weren't speedsters. They ran perfect routes, could catch anything thrown to them and were always working on their conditioning . Those two receivers were Steve Largent and Jerry Rice . So speed is great but it isn't the only tangible that makes a great receiver .

You just described Scott. He has better hands than Sammy when fielding punts. He makes it look so easy. We must take advantage of this great skill set of his by providing him with some lanes and running room to work the field on the special teams. There should be no reasons we don't start with a short field 40 or 45% of the time. I hope we take pride and take advantage of a golden opportunity to make a statement or surprise opponents with our punt receiving and kick return games.

Scott has decent hands....he lets the ball get to his body far too much to be considered having great hands. All of Scott's highlights with punts are him fielding a punt off the bounce. He's not a guy who has great ball skills right now...however he's an incredible athlete and could be a gamebreaker for us from day 1, no doubt about it. I think we've got the coaches to bring him up to speed pretty quickly too.
I know you said he has better hands than Sammy "when fielding punts", but for the love of god, please don't downplay Sammy's hands. I think Sammy may have the best set of hands I've ever seen in my life. He's someone who's built on a different level than most anyone else. He's a special player with special hands and doesn't deserve to be downplayed.

Mike Williams has great hands. Also, Peake, A. Scott, C.J. Fuller and Tyshon Dye all have great hands and speed. We to DEEP!

But STS can critic our recruits harshly and it is viewed as realism. If this kid is dusting guys in Florida I think he has enough speed for our spoiled tastes.

You got to be talking about Yeargin from this year class. This kid plays the end just like Beasley. Matter of Fact he looked, rushed, and tackled just like V. Beasley.

The Valley today with my sons and saw him heading in... Quite a few players working out individual today. Playing at this level really is a year round job. Good to see him and others doing the work. Saw Legget walking into WZ too. Man! He is big.

We've missed a good return man since Spiller. Can you imagine getting that kind of starting field position with this offense and defense?
