With all this NIL talk on the board let’s talk about the two new ACC team that could be top NIL schools if they chose to.
SMU had a handful of boosters agree to fund the difference for SMU to take a partial tv revenue share for several years. I believe that number was estimated to be $50M. That money may funnel into NIL collectives after a few years. They have generational wealth grads at SMU that do nothing but try to figure out how to spend the money they inherited from Great Grandpa.

Stanford has 10 to 15 tech billionaires. If they decide that they like football, they could buy who ever is for sale.

Stanford could be limited by their administration or California politicians but SMU won’t be.

Stanford is a private, so politicians won't be a problem.

Stanford never will… they have the largest endowment of all colleges and don’t invest a penny in football.

I could see SMU using their money to fund a roster that makes them relevant again within the next few years. They did it before and now it's legal.

Clem, I guess you missed last season as SMU finished 11-3 and ranked 24th. SMU will be a nice addition to the conference.
