players to move on (transfer) to make room for younger better talent. When these kids leave Clemson to transfer.. it’s usually because they aren’t playing much because someone is better than them. This is why the portal doesn’t phase me one bit. I just wish they would make the rule it must be done in the offseason and not mid season.

of eligibility. But I agree that mid season transfers disrupt roster management and team chemistry. The early signing period affects both the portal players and the schools because of the high school players being recruited. It would be a clearer picture after the early signing day, December 15 this year.

First time transfers should only be allowed to avoid sitting out the following season if they transfer between early signing day and May 1.
