my Pops believed in "not saying anything", or rather repeating himself, then silently we'd build up & a$$-whippin' & hey...he told us! just not exactly when, for that you'd have to watch gestures, expressions & eyebrows.

well i'm rambling...but the point is, we definitely need to do some child-beating, or rather disciplining, and give the Steviecock Spurturd brat one helluva spanking!

he won't shut up for long, if at all, before needing another whippin'...i know the type. but we have to deliver that to him more than ever.
i'm not so sure that sitting back quietly & not responding does anything to slow Old Coach Spurtedoff down actually, or accomplishes anything other than letting him run rampant & garner all the attention for himself....surely we deserve some too, but we don't play the game as classlessly with Dabo, as Sdiva Slurrier, which makes it ok, imo.

and for the record: Dabo's "rants" have always been spot on & accurate & factual. he points out more about Clemson & what we've accomplished, less about what somebody else, or rival, or competition hasn't done...unless it needed to be addressed

the coots may have beaten us for their five, but the won't keep that alive & 2014 is our year again. i feel really confident that we'll have a good team next year as well & recruiting is wrapping up nicely!

I always thought he was different after being humbled by the REdskins and then coaching in Columbia where wins were not very easy.

however, now he is winning and the comments come back. I agree with the other poster who said it is just part of the game. There is nothing mean or below the belt, just football talk if you really look at it.

Dabo stated USC was in So Cal and CArolina was in Chapel Hill. So SPurrier says well we play Dabo's Carolina this week etc nothing mean about that. He says "That team from the upstate, that orange team that used to beat us all the time. That is nothing but fact and nothing mean in that

If you really look at his record at Washington and the follow on coaches including one of the best ever in Shanahan, nobody has been able to win in DC in the last 20 yrs

not a spurrier apologist, just don;t think he is not as "mean or classless" as many on here say. The player issue was nore pumping up his player who may go in the 4th or 6th rd saying he caught 3 tds against Clemson 3 more than their 1st rder is simply publicity for his player. Did anyone hear how many times that last few weeks of the season he said Shaw was one of the best Qbs he ever had. That got people talking about Connor Shaw and it helped his player

Too many people wearing panties these days to not be able to handle it. However, I do remember thinking he took the Fulmer thing too far when he was at Fla. only to find out their families are very tight and Phil is one of his coaching buddies. I guess some on here never had good buddies you ragged on each other when in college etc good fun when you have close firends
