He said they can't get invited to a BCS game because they are in the SEC....
Ok? If you don't lose to a shittay Tennessee team, maybe you get invited over Alabama to the Sugar bowl? Prolly not...
Fact is if SC had played any of the good teams from the west they would have lost more games than 2.
Alabama would have steam rolled them, Auburn would have put up 600 rushing yards on them, LSU- hello... Would have put 400 rushing yards on clowneys side of the line alone.
A&M might have given up 60 points but would have scored 70 especially early in the season against their freshmen LB's.
I'm saying what they already knew- they had the easiest Schedule ever, and they choaked against a team that didn't go bowling. I think losing to a 4-8 team would cost you even a make believe " Bowl Season National Championship" moron...
Also, those high fives working for you on the recruiting trail? I know the recruits are loving watching the replay of Clemson's BCS bowl win. I'm sure they will hear about it all summer too. No more Clowney and SC to talk about for 6 months, it's Clemson's time to shine....

The problem is that they have no Brand outside of the State and spurrier's name will only get them so far.
Agree, had they beaten Tenn, then they would have gotten in over Missou.
But at the end of the day These Bowl are as much about selling ad space for the major networks as they are picking the best teams.
and when you have a bunch of Bozos running around with GoCocks printed on their hats and shirts, it counts against you.

Had they beaten Tennessee, they would have played Auburn in the SEC title game. It wouldn't have been down to them getting an at large bid over Bama. They would have played Auburn in the SEC title game and with a win and their schedule, could have had an argument over Mich St for the BCS title game.

Clemson goes 12-1 and gets invited to the playoffs because they win the ACC, they lose to South Carolina.... Carolina goes back to the Outback Bowl and Clemson runs the table and wins the National Title............... haha That would cause a melt down in columbia.................................
