Repeat, ALABAMA WILL NOT HIRE DABO...
2-3 years ago he would've been their first call, but with his public unwillingness to adapt to the current landscape and the last 2 seasons, he's guaranteed fallen very far down their list. I believe that Lanning is 100% their guy.

The only “public” unwillingness the man has is the #### people want to put on him based on out of context statements. I swear you people are absolutely insane, Clemson players are paid nicely through NIL, he’s offered portal players but he’s not going to make promises he isn’t gonna keep. Man having principles is now considered a bad thing. Also hate to tell you the portal or NIL didn’t cost us a single win this year. Nobody thinks lower of Dabo then supposed Clemson fans it’s a wild thing to see

Thanks to NIL Dabo’s model for college football built on Character, integrity, honesty and loyalty is no longer popular. Dabo philosophy is what built Clemson into an Elite program. Outside forces such as NIL, the TP, and other changes in college athletics has helped to change recruiting more difficult for Clemson. Greed is in and integrity and learning valuable life lessons is out.

While I respect your opinion, it's wrong. Dabo's stubbornness to aggressively use the portal absolutely cost us games this season. Everyone including Dabo knew that we had a glaring issue at O-line and WR going into the offseason last year. Dabo could've absolutely made our team better with the portal and he didn't.

I dont think they will hire him, but he was absolutely on a very short list of people. He’s the only coach to beat Saban twice in a title game, and he took a program that was mediocre for close to three decades and made it a perineal powerhouse in 6 years. He’s recruited well. He’s brought in better coaches. He’s developed men.
Certainly his stance regarding portal & NIL would be a concern for them, but Bama is also a big name location. They’ve not had to rely on the portal to fill many positions, and I’m sure players were willing to forgo some NIL cash to play for Saban.
I don’t think he’s top of their list, but he’s on the list, and he’s closer to the top than many might want to admit.

Whoever the coach is hired to replace Nick, I am pretty sure one of his 1st calls when looking to configure a staff is Coach Reed. He's gotten calls when openings have become available before, Let's not be surprised when it happens. Should be interesting.

Everyone knows this. Some just slow to accept it. Upside is Dabo is happy with the program he built and won’t be too upset when Bama doesn’t come calling.
