We lost a great Clemson alumnus this week

My Dad. Class of ‘60 with BS Ceramic engineering. I went on to graduate from Clemson in 1996 as a third generation Tiger. He taught me the love for this University and all it stands for. I will forever share that bond and am grateful. My dad began taking me to games in 1980 and soon there after I went on to not miss a single home Clemson football game for nearly 30 years. Through thick and thin. Just like life and the love I have for Dad. I want to dedicate this season to my father in heaven. Gooooo Tigers!

Sorry about your dad. He would have been a Clemson a few years before me. Like in all eras, your dad continued the great traditions and helped start new ones. He will be missed!

I also graduated in 1960 and probably knew your dad. Prayers for you and the entire family. Have had season tickets since 1966; but am unable to go now. Both sons finished in 94 & 95 and the 5 grands use them. Granddaughter graduated in May and one of her goals was to go to every game the tigers played, and she made all 15.

Buddy awfully bad this season. Me and Jud planning on going to Ga Tech game and do something special. We had some great memories tailgating with you guys through the years. Such a blessing to have friends of dad like yourself growing up.

Sorry for your Father's passing. I went to Clemson in 1959 and knew a few of the CEs that graduated in 1960. As a matter of fact, I worked with the SC Aeronautics Commission during the summer with one from Columbia. Hope the Lord Blesses you and your family and gives you peace.

Seems that this was not a good week for Clemson faithful. I lost my grandmother this week. She was a great tiger and even better person.

In the 15+ years we tailgated with Alex and your whole extended family, we always treasured that time together. Marsh and I share your loss. Alex was always there with his dry wit, and humerous stories. Never a dull moment. And we always enjoyed his unique choice of different refreshments and stories behind them, his plastic storage box full of Clemson hats, and great food from Cat.
