Sometimes making a decision should be a long thought out

process and then sometimes when you can see the dock and the boat moving away you need to make a decision and run as fast as you can to get on the boat or you will left behind (from big-boy football).
I'm just saying.

I think it is 16 slots per conference - with four conferences. Field of 64. This makes tourneys in lots of sports easy. Field of 64 for basketball, 32 for baseball, 8 for football (conf championship as 8, then those 4 champs in a short playoff for the title).
And 16 team conferences - split into two divisions gets everyone back to an 8 team mini-conference - almost like the past - when an 8 team conference was the norm.

It's up to the four to invite whom they wish. I have no doubt the b12 and sec have already agree on which teams will go where.
Both want the biggest geographical footprint they can get. It seems reasonable that Virginia, SC, Florida, NC and GA each can be a source of TV revenues for both conferences. I absolutely believe that b12 and sec will rip the football schools from the ACC and I don't believe it is an accident.
I also believe the holdup is just jockeying for money at this point and that every school involved in the transition of power has been contacted.

You are correct.Sometimes a decision should be a long thought out process.
You might be on the right path,or you may have to take a different route.
You might need a back up plan,but in the end if you are not invited to get on that boat ,it don't mean a hill of beans.
Im not just saying but no matter how aggressive Clemson is,if they are not asked to join,it won't matter how long they thought things out!
