Understand when it comes to collage basketball, net and rpi rankings. Right now we have an rpi of 7 but a net ranking of 60. Makes perfect sense.

It makes no difference how many times you pour over those stats, YOU cannot change it. Just watch and, hopefully, enjoy the games and let the chips fall as they may in March. They've only played 4 games so far, today's stats mean nothing. Today was a really good game (and WE WON!) be happy for today.

Need more data, but i will say that any computer model that had maryland ahead of us last week should be destroyed.

Most sites just pull the data straight from NCAA net rating page. Hence, on several sites that appear to offer up to date NET rankings, the records are current for the 23-24 season but the overall rankings are the final from the end of last season.

We could be 5-0 and ranked about 40th. Duke could be 3-2 and be in top 15. It's more name recognition than true best team rank.

That’s completely untrue for either RPI or NET. Perhaps for polls. But since RPI and NET said we didn’t belong in the tourney last year suddenly everyone thinks they’re “biased”?
