Optimism is great. I mean, obviously we aren't going to be playing football in September with 80,000 fans in the stands, but it'd be great if we could get a full season in somehow.

There is a difference between news and wishful thinking.
Dabo is taking care of HIS responsibilities which are to do everything possible to help the Tigers be ready to play on schedule, but if he is not making contingency plans for more likely scenarios, he is gonna get caught with his pants down.
The Corona Virus does not give a #### about Dabo's positive thinking.

I think the games will be played with people in the stands... but I expect a temperature check to be added to the metal check at the gate. I think all athletes will be tested on Friday for Covid-19 or other flu. We will have to be able to separate the contagious from the field and the crowd.
If the temp is elevated you will not be able to enter unless you have proof that you do not have covid-19. The 15 minute check might be used. I expect all events to use some form of temperature check ate the gates, airlines will as well. Until we have a vaccine that is the only way to gather safely.

You actually think they would check 80,000 fans temperature before entering the game? Let's ignore for a second the logistics of doing something like this for a second, and just look at how this would help:
With a 10-15 day incubation period, and up to 25% of carriers being asymptomatic, how does this help? Even ~10% of those that have COVID-19 and have other symptoms (cough, lethargy, etc) don't have a fever.

At this point there's not any point jumping to conclusions that the season won't be played.
Anybody that thinks that Clemson won't be playing in front of a packed stadium every game this fall is jumping to conclusions, and I wouldn't bother listening to their nonsense, because that's really all it is.

Well, there's quite a bit of distance between declaring the season cancelled today and saying "zero doubt" that the CFB season is played this year.
The 2020 Olympics were going to be played 1 month before football season starts. To think that we'll be watching the Tigers in front of a packed DV is akin to Trump thinking that the nation would open back up on Easter.
