Any Republican is better than Trump

I was never too fond of the Bushes. I've never voted for a democrat and probably never will. There are a couple that I'd vote for over Trump, but any that I'd vote for have zero chance to get a nomination. Last election I said, I'd vote for Tulsi over Trump for instance. I'd take any of the other republicans over every democrat without a second thought, not even close.

Russia wasn't invading Ukraine? Peace was breaking out in the Middle East? The US was energy independent? The US gubmint was going hammer and tong against China's criminal behavior? The border wasn't being overrun by millions of illegals? Illegals weren't being given concierge service and flights all over the US by gubmint? Gubmint wasn't leaving billions in weapons in Afghanistan? Gubmint wasn't going all out to ruin US energy infrastructure in service to the climate cult?
I do.
Man, Trump sure got lucky that all that coincidentally happened on his watch.

Trump had nothing to do with Ukraine or the Middle East. We weren't energy dependent under Trump. Trump made huge missteps globally in regards to China, particularly in South America. The border was still a problem. We were still wasting money in Afghanistan. Trump did nothing for infrastructure.
You believe ######## that's fed to you and don't take a moment to research it.

So what you are telling me is we have a choice of the following in 2024:
4
Nov 30, 2023, 9:23 AM
|
|
Trump - an incurable man-child that has no self-discipline to control his worst impulses and determines who is "good" or "bad" based simply on whether they stroke his ego and "say nice things about me". Pay no mind to these people's actual stated policy positions or that they may be soul crushing dictators - just as long as they say nice things about Trump - they are "good people" in his world. Trump - a man who routinely puts out a policy and immediately steps on his crank and crushes his policy messaging through is own lack of self-control by going off on stupid tangents or picking unnecessary fights with people of no consequence. Trump - a man who has also proven that he has a knack for hiring people in his Administration who will sabotage his own stated policy objectives and will sign huge Omnibus spending bills that no one has read just like all the other Republican Inc. squishes he likes to complain about. Combine Trump's undisciplined ego with the unprecedented amount of DC ecosystem hate towards him and we are guaranteed that a Trump Presidency would be 4 years of total political shittshow antics of which the world has never seen.
Haley - "George Bush in a skirt"... nah more like "Jeb Bush in a skirt" because George couldn't put a whole sentence together without sounding stupid. Nikki Haley - the new darling of the Republican Inc. crowd because she is a smart/articulate political operative who can string multiple sentences together rather nicely. But most importantly to Republican Inc. - she "ain't Trump" and has spent most of her adult life working inside the Republican Party Inc. apparatus climbing the political ladder one rung at time. Republican Inc. trusts Nikki because she is a product of the established political Party system and know that when it is all said and done, she will not disrupt the DC ecosystem and will go along to get along. Republican Inc. understands that while she may proclaim the "we will change Washington" lines at stump speeches they will rest comfortably in the knowledge that should Nikki be elected she will be a good steward of the DC status quo of a bloated Federal bureaucracy with its bloated budgets albeit with a nod to the right of center favored constituencies like the MIC and fossil fuel industries.
Biden - a decrepit, crooked life long politician whose current brain activity is on par with a dead fish. A man who can't remember which way to walk to exit a stage that gets propped up in front of a microphone to ramble incoherently about some leftist policy position that his puppet masters are crafting behind the scenes. The leftist DC apparatus just loves Joe as he is their perfect President - practically no brainwave activity and will sign on to any and all stupid leftist policy ideas no matter how costly, impractical, economically damaging, or detrimental to our Constitutional moorings. A Biden administration can be trusted to continue to feed the DC ecosystem their daily desire for ever more Government regulation and power over the citizenry. No Government intrusion is too much - regulate everything from light bulbs to ceiling fans to automobiles because nothing in the normal peoples lives should be left to their own devices or free markets. For only they, the tyrannical central planning "smart people" with Ivy League pedigrees or favored woke credentials are brilliant enough to determine what the stupid citizenry must endure to bring about their hellscape utopia. Joe Biden is their man because as long as the DC leftist elites will turn a blind eye to his family's foreign grift payments and give him soft serve ice cream on demand - he'll sign on to just about any of their loony, tyrannical ideas.
Holy cow we are screwed....

But.... his general lack of campaigning "charisma" is hurting him. DeSantis, fair or not, just comes off as "stiff/boring" to a lot of people as to where both Haley and Trump have a certain charisma about them. Unless DeSantis shocks the Republican world with a BIG showing in Iowa his 2024 Presidential run is done...

You were arguing that regime change in Iraq would give the US a friendly corridor from Europe (Turkey) to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the Persian Gulf. You were way into the Iraq War back then. You and Crash and others couldn't wait to start the war.
