So you don't think NFL teams should hold immaturity against him? The kid has made more than a few horrible decisions off of the football field in his 3 years of college. Heck he has made stupid comments and thrown his school under the bus in the last week.
Why should a team trust him to not continue to make those same dumb decisions when he's handed MILLIONS of dollars in the form of a signing bonus?

ideas of "horrible" decisions. I see some dumb immature decisions but the guy isn't robbing banks, beating up his girlfriend, diddling children or running a dog fighting ring. Like I already said, most of the Winston hate comes from those CONVINCED he raped that young lady. I agree that the comment about getting free food was not a bright comment. IMO, all of this ends on draft night and his NFL career begins. It will be about producing on the field. At some point, if he isn't doing anything, people have to let it go. That is all I'm saying.

After being accused of rape you don't think yelling at the top of your lungs in the middle of campus FHRITP is a horrible decision????
You're right, apparently nobody can prove that he raped that girl.(and I withhold judgement on that), however, Greg Hardy isn't being charged for beating his ex-gf and he just got suspended for 10 games after already missing an entire season.
Whether, you believe it happened or not, if he has another incident where he is accused of any kind of sexual misconduct he'll likely end up suspended. Which is a huge deal for teams looking to draft him. I don't care how good he is, he can't contribute if he isn't on the field.
Also, making stupid public comments about your team won't fly.

JW & Friends claimed it was filmed on the phone only to be "accidentally" erased. She must have been filmed saying "NO". And, usually the Police doesn't "cover up"(drag feet,delay) when there's nothing to cover up.
I just know, as a DIEHARD Clemson, he would have been gone a long time ago. Chad Kelly did far less than JW and got dismissed .

if I was a NFL GM I'd be very concerned over his maturity level - clearly lacking off the field but the kid is a proven winner and will games in the NFL.
One major issue with Clowney was his work ethic and effort .....not an issue for Winston.

On field performance should be 90 percent of what NFL teams draft on. He isn't a system guy like Mariotta and Petty. He's run a NFL type system for the past two seasons and only lost once. If you take all the hate and jealousy away from it, its a pretty simple answer. Jameis is the best quarterback available. Hands down.

It actually makes sense. FSU likely wanted him to not tell the whole story. That's why he withheld information. He didn't lie. He just didn't say the whole story because it is likely impermissible benefits.

Im a little confused how he still gets to use the "immature card" at this point. He's a grown man, making grown man decisions, and about to make grown man money. In any other situation, there is no way an employer overlooks his transgressions. Even my 15 year old brother knows that you cant steal things and yell inappropriate language in public, and this doesnt even compare to the possible rape charges. Winston was given all the athletic ability in the world, and has been given more second-chances in the last 4 years than most of us will get in a life time, but continually muddles around in his own backwards point of view on how to act in our society. At what point does his inappropriate behavior surpass his athletic ability? or does it?
