If you're not on NBCSports you're missing a hell of a match between Canada and Norway.

But it is not for those with short attention spans. A full-contact sport, it is not...

That's why they call it "curling."

It makes your toes curl just thinking about the excitement.
Sad it's only on TV every four years.
I don't know how we manage all that time without it.

Oh but it is on quite often. If your local cable operator has "The Olympic Channel" then you can probably catch various championships from around the world throughout the year.
I am lucky enough to have The Olympic Channel, and I am serious that there have been more than a few times over the past year where I have thumb through channels after a rough day in the cubical - only to settle in on a curling match and a nice malted beverage to decompress.
"It's not just a rock. It's forty-two pounds of polished granite, with a beveled underbelly and a handle a human being can hold. Okay, so in and of itself it looks like it has no practical purpose, but it's a repository of possibility. And, when it's handled just right, it exacts a kind of poetry - as close to poetry as I ever want to get. The way it moves.... Not once, in everything I've done, have I ever felt the same wonder and humanity as when I'm playing the game of curling." ~Paul Gross, John Krizanc, and Paul Quarrington, Men with Brooms
