to monitor Howards Rock. OK, I know commercial grade systems can be expensive so I'll just go along with that. But $1,300 per month (in perpetuity I assume) for a "monitoring" fee? That seems beyond ridiculous to me.
Couldn't the new system just tie into the campus police dept. system? Aren't they already monitoring around the clock?
its a drop in the bucket if it works, and we know most tickets are over $50, not including tv revenue, iptay fees, advertising income, concessions, etc.
then you say the value of the rock is $134K or whatever does not make much sense. well pay more than that in just five years to preserve it after 48K set up fee plus the $1300 monitoring fee.
the kid does not need to get 20 years, 2-3 sentence with 1-1.5 years served needs to be the minimum.
