the scenes to help them to be even more successful in making the right decisions..from stats of when to throw or run, what down to utilize a particular play, to which opponent player is easiest to go against on a particular or critical down play, etc..
with Dabo having one of the best support staffs in CFB, it appears..plus most can’t be on the field coaches in the normal day-to-day way as we perceive coaches.
Now, a new batch of “behind the scenes” geniuses will be needed to take over from those who are now elevated into “on the field” coaches.
Sounds like a pretty dang good profession to be in considering the extremely high compensation, even though failure is high too.

Just going by the records, some schools have master-minus brains behind the scenes. SC Gamecock fans should not take offense at my remarks. I could be talking about some other school.

You are right. It is simple mathematics. We need more nerds behind the scenes running these numbers. Success rate, ratios, which side of the field, strong side/weak side, 50/50 balls. Really dig into each player on your team and opposing team to maximize the chance of success.
It’s like the kid in Little Giants running probability through his computer as the play-caller.
