Sirius question on Feaster transfer

Apr 24, 2019, 9:00 PM

How is he gonna graduate in August and catch on with another outfit ...and be ready by end of August with a new team? Won’t he be behind the eight ball, so to speak, with a new team? I predict his role will be less elsewhere than it would be here if he stayed. Check Tyson Dye’s #s at ECU of all places.

Unless he plans on sitting out the year; you are right he would be behind the other players "if they are good enough"! I believe I read where he is on schedule to graduate this summer! For his sake; if he leaves, sitting out and learning the playbook thoroughly would be the move. Coaches need to be able to trust you and a guy getting to fall camp late having to learn a new system is behind! Normally your talking about a freshman granted. But, his decision! Then hope he chooses wisely. To be a graduate transfer and play right away; the school has to offer a Masters program Clemson does not offer. May be slim pickings on that front(IDK).

I hate to point out the obvious, but August IS this summer. Doesn't leave him much time to learn a new system somewhere else if he transfers, or else he leaves before then without a degree. I hope for his sake he is not considering that option.

just thinking the same thing - definitely should get degree, little time to adapt to new team. Pray the best for Feaster.

I guess by summer I was thinking, June or July! Which would put him coming in at about the same time as the freshmen who did not start early. Obviously if it's August then, yeah, that is way too late for this season!

Speaking as one that graduated in August (1976), you sure don't have time to think about football in summer sessions, much less learn a new system. I hope for his sake he rethinks this thing, or else graduates and sits out a year. If he really thinks about his professional future, staying at Clemson makes the most sense to me.

I have wondered about TF’s timeline, too. I don’t think it’s feasible to graduate in August and start on a new team right away. This makes 0 sense.

Will Dabo keep him on scholarship until he graduates at the end of the summer? I am betting he does. Will he work out and practice with the team all summer since he will be attending CU on a football scholarship? Why would the coaches want to use valuable practice reps on a player that’s leaving?

Lots of questions. I hope he makes the right decision for himself, whatever he decides to do.

"Why would the coaches want to use valuable practice reps on a player that’s leaving?"

My guess to that question is "Dabo" does things a little different than most would do. That's why players stay and play the extra year sometimes. JMO though.
