Where does the moment Gallman scored last week rank?

Can we not bring up '05 Miami this time? That would have been a great one if we had won. As it is, it reeks of moral victory whenever it's mentioned.

It's the truth though...game was so #### loud

It's also been 10 years since that game, and the loss is entirely inconsequential at this point. I don't think there's any need to try and claim a moral victory.

If EVERYONE would yell, it would be

Incredibly Loud!
Watched the FSU game last night, and shots of the crowd while we were on defense revealed what I suspected: only a handful of people in a group of 20 was even yelling.
In my sections (UI and UH) it's the same way. Just imagine if we all joined in together.

Then just go... UUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHH at a raised volume.

You can always make some form of noise with your mouth, even if its not yelling or screaming. Unless you are mute for some medical reason. In which case clapping works.

I was in UH , and the people immediately surrounding us were yelling their heads off on each FSU play . It was very loud .

But if Aaron Kelly had hauled in that pass, the place would have exploded. You could feel the buildup and then the deflation when the ball just barely fell off his fingertips as he laid out for it. One of the biggest "what if" moments in Clemson FB history.

there was a moment in that game late in the 4th when we were trying to get the ball back, where i felt pain in my ears. There was a split second where it hit that fever pitch where it hurts. That's the only time I have ever heard that fever pitch in death valley.
I think it was because it was a full stadium and it was 95% Tiger fans yelling their lungs out (as opposed to FSU, SC games where like 20-25% of the crowd is away team fans)

One of the loudest 4th quarters

I've ever experienced in Death Valley. I watched the replay and the crowd volume was muted. Wished ABC could have opened the windows at the end of the game so the viewing public could really hear the Memorial Stadium force.

Miami '05 did not have the sustained volume
Nov 13, 2015, 11:02 AM
|

of many other games I've been to, but there was no moment as loud as our defensive series at the end of regulation. The noise hit a pitch-level I have never experienced: it broke the barrier of crowd noise and reached a ring/squeal/something I have never heard a crowd create before.

You are 100% correct. The 2011 Auburn game got close to that
Nov 13, 2015, 12:45 PM
|
|
from the vantage point of the student section. The roar gave way to a warm static screech on one play. The diving interception play.

Miami in 2005 without question! The announcers on TV simply could not believe the sheer volume! Unless you were there you have absolutely no idea how loud the valley became in the late stages of the game. I've been going to Clemson for at least one or two games per year for the last fifteen years and started going with my late father in 1959 and to my knowledge nothing compares.
Go Tigers!

It's because our big games are vs big teams

who bring a lot of fans, so a good portion of the crowd are their fans who will not be making noise during ethos moments. That's why some of the loudest moments were vs Miami and BC, teams that do not bring a ton of away fans

I wasn't there for Gallman score so I don't know how it compares, but I was there for '05 Miami and it's the loudest Stadium I've ever heard. I'll never forget it. I remember it being said that you could hear the crowd from miles and miles away (I'm not gunna make up some large number to prove the point cause I can't remember the number). But it was far.
