Since Clemson has pretty much wrapped up a bowl game ...

Nov 2, 2021, 9:57 AM

looking at the ACC bowl tie ins with each conference ...

SEC = 3.5
AAC = 3.5
PAC = 2.0
B10 = 1.0
B12 = 1.0

Seems the ACC is a little light with B10 / B12 games

(I'd like to play either Michigan or Florida this year)

If we lose any of the 4 games left on schedule, I would be OKAY with skipping bowl season, and not risk an embarrassing loss for the team, or the fan base.

I can't speak for anyone else, but, these losses this season has been some of the hardest losses as I can remember over my 59 years as a Clemson Tiger fan with the exception of the 2012 Orange Bowl 70-33 loss to WVU!!!

The hardest lesson that I've learned this season without a doubt, is being one of the best two elite teams in all of college FB as Clemson and Bama has been for the past 7-8 years, then falling flat on our face the way that "WE" have this season, makes these losses the most disappointing, hurtful losses I've ever experience since becoming a Clemson fan at 10 years old in 1962!!!

The hardest thing to even try to explain are the feeling that I've been feeling from one emotional roller coaster let down to another. For me, this season feels like a monster sucker punch that has landed from out of nowhere, totally unexpected. And it's all bc this years team was suppose to be a team that could have, and should have been competing for our 3d National Championship.

My emotions feel a golf ball being bonused off the walls inside a closed concrete room. I feel like I should be talking as much crap about our team and coaches to release some of the hurt and anger, and it pisses me off to read that others are doing the same, and it really pisses me off even more to read the negativity from someone else, and I'm doing the very same thing, and they're doing bc they to also need that release from all the emotions they're going through also, and knowing that, it still pisses me off!!!

Stumbling around after we've been walking around at the top with our chest poked out for a few years, it really has a ton of mixed emotions that I haven't figured out how I'm suppose to complain about it without getting so pissed off, and angry when I see others on here just as hurt, pissed off, and as angry as I am with what has happened with our FB team this season, I should say nothing, and hope that we'll get our roller coaster back on track next season!!!! Sorry if any of my prior comments has offended anybody, and I'll try and do better, and hopefully I can find a better way in the future to deal with new and different types of emotions!!!!

The loss to OSU and LSU the past 2 years is up there for me

Outside of some of the shocking losses in the Bowden and early Dabo (vs FSU and Usuck)

The expectations vs reality really kicked me in the nuts

True, but that WVU loss

ultimately brought us Venables and set us on the path for the 2016 Natty. Without that blowout loss, we may not have gotten to where we ended up. Spot the ball and let's play whomever we end up with!

Sorry but none of the 3 losses this year rank in the top 10 of my 38 years of following Clemson football closely.

West Virginia bowl game
Syracuse Gator Bowl with Donovan McNabb, et al
Puntrooskie
Bad snap on punt leads to Calvin Johnson's game winner versus Ga Tech
Florida State early 90's Chris Weinke play action pass to Snoop Minnis leading to 58-0
Ohio State in playoffs last year
LSU in Championship game prior year
Bama in Sugar Bowl with KB2 as QB1
Last second FG loss to Duke (I think Whitehurst was the QB)
Thursday night game against Va Tech where Corey Moore basically took the game over and made it a blowout (1999?)

I get it and I feel your pain, but I don't think skipping a bowl game sends a good message. Skipping a bowl game is basically the whole team opting into the transfer portal. "The bowl game (team I'm playing for) is not to my liking, so I'm going to quit for rest of the season and try again next year with what I hope to be a better bowl (or new team I'm playing for).

I guess most likely Cheez-It (Orlando) Duke's (Charlotte) Gator or Sun. Of those honestly rather Gator Bowl against the SEC.

If we continue to play like we are playing. I do not want any part of Michigan, but we might could play with UF. I would prefer to play Navy in the pinstripe bowl at least we would know for sure we have a chance.
